Filatura di Crosa is a long established company based in Pettinengo, Biella, Northern Italy. The company is world-renowned for their production of high quality yarns for both the classic and fashion/fancy markets.
They are also something of a rarity - it is very unusual these days to come across a mill spinning yarns for their own label and distribution.
Founded in 1939 by Ettore Fileppo, the Filatura di Crosa brand is synonomous with quality, luxury and value. They take pride in their reputation for producing yarns from only the finest fibres available, whether it's Alpaca, Merino, Cashmere, Cotton or Silk.
They use only the best quality materials for all of their products.
Filatura di Crosa produce one of the finest Merino yarns there is - the "Zara" range. This comprises Zara, Zarina, Zarone, Zara Print, Zara Plus and Zara Mouline. The superb and distinctive spin on this Merino gives knitted patterns the most superb stitch definition and is very popular with knitters for this reason. Two yarn collections are produced every year and supported by the Filatura di Crosa Magazine; these include new colours in existing yarns and also new yarns for the season to complement fashion and colour trends.
Filatura have introduced a "Gold Label" collection of yarns, the 'crowning glory' of which is Filatura di Crosa "Superior" an absolutely gorgeous and incredibly soft brushed 70% Cashmere and 30% Silk combination. To their credit they have also produced a pattern for a sweater using only three balls, making this truly affordable luxury. Your customers will be able to spoil themselves!

In addition to the yarns for adults, there is also a superb baby range of yarns, again all of which use the finest quality Merino and are available in a wide selection of colours, including some multi-coloured Merinos. These yarns are designed to wash well, whilst also being incredibly soft and kind to young skin.
